Connor McKee was the class of 2024 student speaker. Along with congratulating her fellow classmates, she highlighted their perseverance and hard work to accomplish their goal of graduating.
“As we look to the future, I’m excited to think about the amazing nurses we are becoming. We will go on to make a difference in the lives of our patients, our families and our communities. We will be the ones to bring care, comfort and compassion to those who need it most, and we will do it with the knowledge, skills and hard work we developed over the past 10 months. As we celebrate this milestone, let’s take a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come,” said McKee.
Practical nurses provide a variety of direct care services including administration of medication, taking medical histories, recording symptoms and vital signs, and other tasks as delegated by RNs, physicians, and other health care providers.PNP
This is a 10-month, 1200-hour program that takes the nursing student through fundamentals of nursing, care of the elderly, anatomy and physiology, medical surgical nursing, mental health, pediatrics, and maternity nursing as our basic courses.
Each student was pinned and celebrated at the ceremony.
